About
Opened in 1927 on sandy marshland south-west of Adelaide, Glenelg Golf Club was expanded to 18 holes within a year. Following post-war airport expansion, a redesign by Vern Morcom took place in 1947. Between 1998 and 2004, Neil Crafter and Bob Tuohy undertook a significant revamp, introducing revetted-edge bunkers and restoring natural wetlands. The course now features a strategic, links-inspired championship layout that consistently ranks among Australia’s top 40 golf courses.
