Royal Adelaide Golf Club, known simply as “Seaton”, is a private 18-hole championship links course located in Seaton, South Australia, about 9 km northwest of Adelaide city centre. Established in 1892 and relocated to Seaton in 1906, the course was originally designed by H. L. “Cargie” Rymill and C. L. Gardner, with later significant redesign work by Dr Alister MacKenzie. The course plays as a walking layout, but motorised carts are available on medical grounds. There is a full pro shop offering club rental, club fitting with Trackman radar, and coaching. Practice facilities include a practice range, putting green, and practice bunkers. The clubhouse provides dining and function rooms with views across the course, and there is locker room and bag storage. Visitors may play under limited access: mainly interstate or reciprocal club members, and overseas guests by arrangement. Green fees and equipment hire must be booked in advance, and some visitor rights are suspended during major tournaments. The club is famed for its heavy bunkering, coastal breezes, and natural links style terrain, making it a standout course in South Australia and regularly ranked among Australia’s top ten courses.
