About
Royal Melbourne Golf Club, established in 1891, moved to the Melbourne Sandbelt at Black Rock in the late 1920s. The West Course, designed by Dr Alister MacKenzie and Alex Russell, opened in 1931 and consistently ranks among the world’s top ten courses. The East Course, added in 1932 by Russell and Mick Morcom, complements the West Course. The renowned Composite layout features selected holes from both courses. This prestigious club has hosted numerous Australian Opens, Presidents Cups, and World Cups, and is celebrated for its fast, firm greens, striking bunkering, and strategic design.
