Collaroy New South Wales golf headland Long Reef Golf Club opened in 1921 as a nine-hole links on the high coastal sands. Dan Soutar expanded it into a championship 18-hole layout in 1931, and Peter Thomson’s 1994 redesign elevated its playability. The club’s kikuyu fairways and Poa Annua greens sit alongside the Tasman Sea, with signature cliff-top tee shots on holes seven and sixteen. In 1965 the clubhouse was built, and a $22 million renovation proposal was lodged in June 2025 to refresh its heritage pavilion style.
