Rottnest Island Golf Club is a nine-hole public course on Wadjemup (Rottnest Island), established in 1961. The course stretches to 5,568 metres for men and 4,814 for women when played as a full 18-hole round using alternate tees. Greens have a par of 70, with front nine and back nine each set at par 35. A major redevelopment in 2013 improved grass greens, added new tee positions, and upgraded reticulation and irrigation. ([rottnestgolf.org](https://www.rottnestgolf.org/golf?utm_source=openai)) The layout features elevated tees, bushland, a central lake, and seasonal creeks that flood in winter to add natural challenge. The tranquillity comes from being behind the main settlement, away from mainland noise. Wildlife—including quokkas—is often seen nearby. ([rottnestisland.com](https://www.rottnestisland.com/visit/guides-tips/a-guide-to-golfing-on-wadjemup-rottnest-island?utm_source=openai)) Facilities include a clubhouse with full licensed bar, pro shop, putting and chipping greens, equipment hire (clubs, trolleys, carts), and a two-storey clubhouse with casual seating. Lawn bowls and barefoot bowls are also available. Visitors may choose to play 9 holes or repeat the course to total 18.
